Age: 20-30 years. Relaxation as per category rules.

Exam Pattern

Preliminary Exam (CBT)

  • 3 sections: English (30), Quantitative Aptitude (35), Reasoning (35)
  • Duration: 60 minutes (20 min per section)
  • Negative marking: -0.25 per wrong answer

Main Exam (CBT)

  • 4 sections: Reasoning & Computer (45Q/60min), English (35Q/40min), Data Analysis (35Q/45min), General Economy & Banking (40Q/35min)
  • Plus Descriptive paper: Letter & Essay writing (25 marks, 30 min)
  • Total: 200 MCQ marks + 25 Descriptive marks

Interview

  • 100 marks
  • Final selection: 80% (Main) + 20% (Interview)

IBPS PO Salary 2026

Starting basic pay: โ‚น48,480/-

After allowances (HRA, DA, medical, transport): โ‚น65,000-โ‚น80,000 per month (metro cities)

Promotion path: PO โ†’ Officer Grade II โ†’ Officer Grade III (Branch Manager) โ†’ Senior Manager โ†’ Chief Manager โ†’ AGM โ†’ DGM โ†’ GM
