SSC CHSL (Combined Higher Secondary Level) is the gateway to central government jobs for 10+2 pass candidates. It is one of the largest exams conducted by SSC with thousands of vacancies every year.

SSC CHSL 2026 Eligibility
Age: 18-27 years. Relaxation as per standard age relaxation rules.
Qualification: 10+2 (Intermediate) pass from a recognized board. For DEO posts, Science stream may be required.
Exam Pattern
Tier 1 (CBT)
- 100 questions, 60 minutes
- Sections: English (25), GK (25), Quantitative Aptitude (25), Reasoning (25)
- Negative marking: -0.50 per wrong answer
Tier 2 (CBT + Skill Test)
- Session 1: Maths (30), Reasoning (30), English (40), GK (20) + Module 2: Computer Knowledge (15)
- Session 2: Skill Test - Typing test for LDC/JSA/PA/SA; Data Entry speed test for DEO
Typing speed required: 35 WPM (English) or 30 WPM (Hindi) for LDC/PA/SA
